ITTO (Internal Touch-tone Control Option). This module can be installed in any of CPS's AC
power control products. When installed the AC power can be Controlled remotely over standard
phone lines or DSL using only simple touch-tone commands. This expands the use of the power
control products and provides a very affordable configuration for a variety of remote power
control applications.
As an example, put ITTO in an AC power strip for only $115.00 or Control three separate devices
for $150.00. Additionally, ITTO has password protection and can transparently share the
phone line with other telephone type devices at the remote site so a separate line is not
required. The customer will never know it's there.
Remote Rebooting * Energy Management * Security * Backup Control
System manager, integrators or installers can save multiple on site visits by simply rebooting the troubled devices from a standard touch-tone phone or it can be used to conserve energy by turning off devices that are not used all of the time, such as monitors, printers, heaters, etc. Also note that Modems or other servers that are powered off also provide the highest level of security. Turn them on only when needed.
Some of the Power strips also have RS-232 or USB control so they can be controlled locally from an embedded PC in digital signs or kiosks while using the touch tone option as a fail safe back up. This also applies to larger systems with elaborate IP power control units as well, because when the DSL or Cable modems are down so is your IP connection. Even with redundant systems touch-tone access can offer still an economical third level of power control access for these critical systems.
