DESCRIPTION
Additionally, if you are not aware of, or conversant with, the newly loaded
software, it may be damaging to your system or worse, damaging or injurious to a
third party for which you could be held liable. You don't want to hear "...
is found negligent in providing adequate control".
SOLUTION
The enable time window can be set for 10 to 990 minutes. The modem will stay
enabled until the access session is completed or the enable time expires. The
commands and the password can be entered from any touch-tone phone or appended
to a modem's AT dial string even though no modem may be present at the receiving
end. A "Dial Log" file program assists when modem entry is used.
Calls that are received without the proper touch-tone passwords are aborted.
The administrative Enable/Disable commands can also be entered through the
"Phone Port" providing "Local Control" of the unit over the
in-house phone wiring or LAN cabling up to 2000'. This may save a phone line
that may otherwise be dedicated to maintenance activity or other infrequent access.
