Introduction
The Challenger TT, is a touch-tone security device for dial telephone lines. It provides an economical method to provide a medium level security to authenticate voice, fax or modem calls.

Programmable
The caller's Touch-Tone access codes may be up to eight digits. Six of which can be changed easily by the security administrator, locally or remotely (dip-switch enabled). The access codes and programming codes can be entered from any standard telephone, cellular phone or modem, domestically or internationally.

Operation
When a call is received, the Challenger TT answers the line and waits for the proper Touch-Tone access codes. This also eliminates war dialers from discovering modems that may be attached. If the proper access code is not received within the user-defined time, the call is aborted.

Calls that include the proper access code re-ring the connected device, transparent to the caller.

Sample of Touch-Tone access entered after the "Beep":
"beep" # (up to six numbers) #

If this were transmitted from a modem:
ATDT 17709450643 @ # (up to six numbers) #

Remote Programming Touch-Tone commands are handled in much the same manner.

Outbound calls can be enabled or disabled as a part of the administrative setup.

Economical
Since the caller requires no additional hardware, the Challenger TT represents a more economical approach to dial-line security than other Challenger products.

Other higher security level Challenger systems rely on recognition hardware being present at both ends of the dial link instead of the Touch-Tones. See the Challenger P2 and the Standard Challenger.
