INTRODUCTION
The N-RRC is a Web based network controller for any of the CPS remote rebooting products ("Base Units"). It connects to your Ethernet network like any other network device and acts like a mini web site. It can be accessed using any web browser.

It presents its menu to the system administration. Control is initiated simply by clicking on the CPS Base Unit that you have connected to it and selecting the action to take: (AC Power Base Units, ON/OFF/RESET/INQUIRY) - (Relay, ON/OFF). An acknowledgement page is returned.

SETUP
Several methods can be used to set the URL. The two most popular are to "Ping" the desired IP address or to enter it through the serial port from a terminal or a PC. It can also be entered automatically by connecting it to a network with a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server, or it can be factory hard coded for special applications.

The optional five-character password is entered through the serial port and can be changed remotely over the network as required.

CONNECTORS
In addition to the RJ-45 Ethernet connector, the N-RRC has a RJ-11 analog phone jack to provide connection to any of the CPS "Base Units". This can support cabling distances up to 2000'. Note: This is a "control port" and not used for telephone connections. It also provides a 5V to ground signal to control an external relay: yours (schematics supplied) or our Relay Box "Base Unit".

A DB-9 pin serial connector may be used for the set up purposes and/or to control "Base Units" that support direct RS-232 serial input ( IPC, IPN, APB).
