DESCRIPTION
The AC POWERED EXPANDABLE TSS Base Switches can support TWO or FOUR telephone lines. When placing outbound calls, any of its 8 station ports can bid for any of the two or four available TelCo lines, simply by going off hook. When bidding for multiple lines, there is a greater statistical probability that one or the other may be available. If all of the lines are in use, the user will not get a dial tone.

Inbound calls are assigned to the first two, or four, station ports, if they are ring enabled through the dip switches. Inbound calls to lines that are not ring enabled are quickly aborted to keep the lines available for outbound calls. LEDs provide a ready/busy indication for the telephone lines.

S-Expansion Modules can be added to either of the base units. Each "stackable" S-Expansion Module provides 8 additional station ports for outbound calls. Up to 7 expansion modules can be stacked for a total of 64 station ports from one 2x8 or 4x8 base switch.

T-Expansion Modules are available for the 4x8 base units only. They provide two additional TelCo line ports in addition to the 8 additional station ports (6x16). The 6x16s operate a bit differently than the 4x units. Not all 16 station ports have access to all of the TelCo ports for outbound calls, but the net result is similar.

The station ports on the T-Expansion module have access to its two high priority primary lines (1 and 2) and two shared alternate lines (lines 3 and 4 on the base unit). The difference is that the base unit and the T-Expansion do not have access to each others primary lines, only to their own primary lines and the two shared lines for outbound calls. Inbound calls on the T-Expansion are routed to its first two station ports, if they are ring enabled. Multiple T-Expansions may be stacked, but each will only have outbound access to its two primary lines and the two shared lines.

One AC power supply will support one base unit and up to seven modules.
