"I DON'T WANT THAT SERVER ON-LINE WHEN A MODEM IS IN USE"

A government agency had a critical server that they simply did not want to be on-line when any of the modems were being used, for maintenance or otherwise. They solved the problem by connecting each of the modems through CPS's "Mini Firewalls" ($85.00) and in-turn to the server.

Now when any of the modems go off-hook the Mini Firewall will physically disconnect the server's LAN connection so there is no chance of getting to that server through a spoofed modem connection. The other less critical servers are accessed normally.

You can also reverse the situation and disconnect multiple servers when only on one modem goes off-hook.

The Mini-Firewalls are normally used on computers that have both modem and LAN connections to prevent employees from exposing the network data while surfing unscrupulous web sites with the modem.
